STEVENSON LIGHTHOUSE ENGINEERS

The Stevenson family designed and built no less than 81 lighthouses from 1808 to 1929 around the coast of Scotland.

For five generations, engineers of the Stevenson family created for the Northern Lighthouse Board a network of elegant and durable lighthouses famous around the world. Most of these lighthouses remain in service today.

This is the family of noted author Robert Louis Stevenson.
